Visually, it doesn't appear that it will work, but I've heard some of you guys say it's possible. Anyone ever tried it?

I'd like to go Magnum, but I'd also like to keep my M/T's.

I run stock '68 318 valve covers on my Mag heads, no leaks, no troubles. I used the gray MP re-usable LA valve cover gaskets, glued to the valve cover, nothing between the gasket and the Mag head.

I have the cast MP LA covers on my magnum heads, I am also using the MP composite LA valve cover gasket. It's over 20K miles with no leaks and I have had the valve covers on an off several times with the same composite gasket too.

I have the magnum motor with the serpentine accessory brackets on my truck. I tried the LA valve covers on my mag motor and they hit the back of the alternator. this is a 2000 motor.

I have heard of some using them and they do line up, some seal good some leak..its a crap shoot.

Id say try it especially since mopar valve covers for the mag motor are expensive...like 200.00 a pair.

Thanks for all the input guys. I'm pretty confident in picking up a crate motor and having it look cosmetically pleasing. Looks like my 360 exhaust manifolds will even work as well.
