Thanks again so much guys. I could not have done it if I did not get the wealth of knowldege I've acquired here at Moparts. Another cool thing is that I've gained quite the amount of attention from all the Chevy guys at work. One guy(he's the type that always has something better ) has gone to the length of purchasing a 67 Camaro and "says" he is getting a Reher Morrison 540 and will blow my doors off. We'll see. It's nice to have the fastest car at work and the Chevy guys mad about it!

First, there is no Dumb Questions. So ask away!
Second, he is going to put a Rher & Morrison 540 in a first Gen Camaro and blow your doors off?? So what! A top Fuel Dragster will do that!
Your ET and Speed are right on, everything considered. I am impressed. Just so you know I just ran this Weekend at Speedworld in Phoenix (about 1500 ft) and this was my numbers on my best run.

I don't think Darren posted them, but he said something about being in the mid to upper 1.5X in 60'. He has enough room to improve there to get a 10 second slip without any additional tuning.

Not sure how much weight will be added but some sub frame connectors and a bar will get you to 10 flat and will DEFIATELY stiffen the car and possibly make it more consistant.

Yeah, sorry guys, I forgot to post that my '60 was 1.57. 1/8 mile was 7.02 @ 97.6. Again, thanks for the support as usual. Now it's time to watch you high 10 second guys and listen and learn. I have to make a calculated decision now regarding the rollbar. I really don't want to make this a full dedicated race car as I enjoy driving it around our little town of Midlothian. It's my parts chasin' car for my '69 Charger project. When I drive it to the local parts store the patrons within as well as the people behind the counter ask about the car and I just like to tell them that it's my weekend parts chasin car. How involved will it be to put in a rollbar? I've been told that it would stiffen the chassis as well. Looks like I will be bugging my old buddy Brian(408strokerdart) and ask him for his recommendations as he usually steers me where I need to go. My car is a taxicab compared to his rocket!
You can add a 6 or 8 point rollbar and still have a nice street car driver as I did. I put a 6 point bar in my 63 as I felt the frame connectors did not tighten the car up enough. The bar really helped stiffen the car alot and I drive it all the time with a rollbar. You dont have to put a cage in it as you can run down to 10.0's with a rollbar. Ron

Thread hijack: How was the Mopar race at Speedworld Sunday? Much of a crowd?
I went out and raced on Saturday since I couldn't break a prior commitment for Sunday.
End hijack.
