I have some history with this car. I use to work for Beatty and Woods when I was in high school. One of my jobs was to wash and wax the race car. When it had to be taken off the trailer and pushed into the shop I got steer the car. Also, when we went to Cayuga or St. Thomas I got to be towed around in the pits and into the staging lanes. It was quite a thrill especialy when you are a teenager........
Cool story..thanks for sharing it

Is that Kevin's car ??
Stewart
Yes. I took that photo at the 1976 or 77 Springnationals in Columbus. It was run by a team that owned a junkyard in Toledo. It was later renemed the BBQ Man and became a bracket racer with a BBC in it. I could have bought the car cheap in the late eighties. It wa never a million $ car though.
RIP Kevin

It was always advertised as a Volare
Fred, are you saying it's a Volare? Or that it's an Aspen advertised as a Volare?
Honestly I'm not sure which. What led me down the path of Aspen is the parking lights. I think there were some picts of the car on the board some time back with a blue/red back half and different color front clip....Heinz 57?
