His has the rim backside "in" an 1/8" from your 4.5" backspacing. But since he's running a 9" wide rim the outside edge of the rim is 7/8" out from a 17x8 with 4.5" backspace.

I totally missed that he's got 9" wheels...I'm starting to get carried away. I read this guy's post and start gettin crazy....If I got 275/40/17, the height is the same as what I just took off the car and it's an 1 1/4" wider....
then I see on craigslist locally a guy with two new tires of this size...very cheap.....
yikes!!!! someone slap me!
