Time has been tight lately, only been working on it for a few hours a week. Had some fitment issues with the quarters that I have been dealing with one by one. First was the drivers side door jamb, gap was good at the top and the door was almost overlapping at the bottom. At this point I triplechecked all of my work to make sure I didn't let something get away from me and everything checked out square front to back and top to bottom. Now it's just a matter of making the quarters fit. I removed some material from the quarter in order to even out the gap at the doorjamb and stitched it back together.

Thanks for the kind words gents! This has been a very satisfying project but I can't wait for it to be on the road, still a lot of work ahead but getting close to paint. Had to make another mod to the passenger side quarter on the C-pillar in order to get it to fit right. Similar to my last posts, had to remove some material and stitch back together.

I have been told I am not the only one dealing with similar issues on these quarters so I guess it's just the nature of the beast.

After addressing these couple of issues I began final installation of both quarters and currently have them about 75% welded up.

Hey thanks Beequik, I did test fit my trim and also checked my dimensions against another b-body that was in the shop for a few days. Nice looking project you have going there my friend!

Still working through some issues with the quarters, here is the next 1 that I dealt with. A difference in the C-pillar transition from one side to the other of a half inch.

Other side, first thing I did was to strip the e-coat so as not to beat it into the panel as I hammer it into shape.

The drivers side seemed to look right so I then made a cardboard template to it, which showed how far off the quarters were from eachother.

I knew something didn't look right but didn't expect to find them this far off!
