Are you asking because of a performance issue, or clearance issue, or?
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Then other exhaust clearance issues, it is from a performance standpoint not critical IMO, both should be the same, and I would NOT have them at a greater then stock angle, it has never on Moparts ever been clearly stated why shocks are angled in the first place, lots of good guesses though, more vertical makes shock stiffer on bumps, more angle up to a point makes shocks stiffer on cornering, you choose. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Twocents.gif)

It is going to be a street strip car, so no cornering at speed will be involved.

No to be picky, but I said more vertical makes shocks stiffer, should have said something more like makes shocks more effectively stiffer, their actual stiffness does change.

This is a similar modification I did to my lowered 87 Ram.
With about 4" taken out of the ride height. My shocks were almost lying down. I redrilled the holes outboard a couple inches and this stood the shocks up straighter.
Making the shock stiffer is an understatement. They are super stiff. Another thing you want to consider if this is the one and only modification you are making to the stock length shock. You will bottom it out sooner.
