I'm glad I went out and check the actual instruction sheet instead of trying to quote from memory
The set of rods I have the instruction sheet for are Manley part # 14082-8PC, thses are forged H beam rods with Mopar rod journal size with .990 wrist pin size and there 6.9657 long according to the label on the box. The instruction sheet is dated 2/18/00, the bolt part # on the sheet is 42239 (I'm assuming this is a Manley part number, not the ARP part number
) Bolt material is 8740, it shows the bolt diameter as having 1.800 U.H.L.(under head length probally, that is what they measure using a old set of Craftsman dial calipers). The instructions say to thoroughly clean the parting line area and threads prior to assembly and the fasteners MUST be submerged in 30 WT.oil or equivalent. Do not use moly or engine lube (this is in bold type
) Bolt stretch value should be checked against torque prior to installation. DO NOT OVER TORQUE!(this is on the sheet that way
) The torque value is 90 Ft. LBs with oil, the bolt stretch value is .0059 minimum to .0063 max, again with 30 WT. moror oil. They want .002 to .003 rod bearing to crankshaft clearances and .020 to .035 rod side clearances per pair. they recommend .0008 to .0015 wrist pin clearances. IHTH. I wish I knew how to scan the sheet(it is old and worn
) and post it on here also, but I don't
Let me know if there is anything else on the sheet you want me to quote
