I ordered a 5.7 Hemi 45 degree oil filter adapter from my local Dodge dealer about 6 months ago. The parts counter guy kept telling me the part delivery date was slipping from the factory and then at one point a dilvery date wasn't even available. I just made my monthly phone call to the dealer and they seem to have lost my order completely off their computer which may mean the order was finally cancelled due to the part being discontinued, not sure of this but I suspect it might be true. The part number is 53021610-AE.

I'm hoping someone on Moparts can verify whether this is still a good number and perhaps explain what the delay is on delivery, alternatively maybe there is another part number that will work that I don't know about. Any help would be appreciated.

As best I can tell, there is, most likely, a change of manufacturing facility and/or packaging vendor happening with that part number. If I am right and that's what is happening, that's probably why the warehouses ran out.

If you need it yesterday, one dealer does show the part to be in stock:

BELL MCCALL COMPANY HAMILTON MT USA
Phone: (406)-363-2011

Maybe give them a call and see if you can talk them out of it?

The same dealer as above also shows stock of the previous versions of that part (same part number but AD and AC level), so if they won't sell you the AE maybe they will sell the AD instead. The AD part should serve the same purpose, it just isn't the latest and greatest version (whatever that means).

If that doesn't work, try Street & Performance: www.hotrodlane.cc

Good suggestions from both of you and I followed up on them unfortunately no dice not in stock. Looks like I'll have to wait and see if Chrysler releases any of these to the public, from what I have been told they are still being used in current production. Anybody else have any ideas on where I can find one of these?

I also have had 4 of these items on order for some time now. FYI...The SRT8 Grand Cherokee uses them also. I'm fortunate to have enough for my projects.
