I never really listen to the tunes but I put some in for my son..(I'm too busy listening for parts falling off)
What mounting points did you use for the amp you mounted on the rear sear brace? Factory holes or did you drill? I had the same idea for my Challenger but there wasn't quite enough room to get at it easily. I plan on doing that once I get to that point with the Charger though. Nice clean install.
challenger70 I think I just drilled...I think there were two holes at the top that I used but the bottom for sure had to be drilled... I'd have to go out and look to be a 100%... Thanks for the complement

I posted a couple of pictures of mine back in a thread from sept 2007. Hopefully this link will work for you. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...art=1&vc=1.Not sure if you are looking for a hidden deal or a new type of radio in the existing radio hole. It wasn't that hard to fashion up a piece of sheet metal to use the existing radio holes and clamp the radio body to. Then the plastic face plate to cover the sheet metal plate I cut out of one side of my calipers storage box. Pattern looked pretty similar to vinyl really. Good luck with yours. Todd

Dual flowmasters make my tunes.

I was searching for audio threads and found this one. I just had a Kenwood CD player and 4 speakers installed in my 68 Dart. Sounds great, but after running it for a bit, there's a faint smell of something burning, I think. When you turn the power off, the smell goes away. [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean], I'm worried something's now cooking under the dash! Should my head unit with no amps can be wired directly under the dash to the ignition switch/power or should it have gone to the engine bay on the relay? Thanks!

That's odd, I'm searching for a two-shaft stereo as we speak.... I can't seem to find good ones anywhere, I take it they aren't made anymore. I guess I *could* toss a new style deck in, but I don't want to if I don't have to.....

Sounds are a must in my ol' Dart since she's only got a slant 6 in her to listen to!
Any recommendations on wiring the power wires under the dash vs directly to the starter relay? If going to the starter relay, is there some sort of fuse used in-line? Thanks!

I used a Sony Head unit with Ipod cable. I have the cable in the Ash tray for the Ipod. I made the box from some scrap plywood nd some carpet from the parts store. Sounds good. I put some small speakers back in the doors since they had holes already. Added some power lock solenoids while I was in there. That is the red light in the blank guage.
