I work for a company that produces flywheels. We will not warranty and damage caused from using grade 8 bolts. They do not have the shear strength of hardened pressure plate bolts. Corect hardware is available at any auto parts store.

Dustergirl, I'm thinking the bolt heads stick out too far anyway?

That's one big problem, our only good local auto parts store shut down. I'm stuck with Advance/Auto Zone until I find a NAPA in a neighboring town. I'll just get the bolts through Brewers since I need a couple other parts there anyway.
thanks guys

You really need to have the correct bolts and washers for your application.Wayne should be able to help but I know Mancini's has the MP kit in stock. Gus ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beer.gif)

I don't trust lock washers ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif) I have seen too many of them split.I will use an AN series flat washer and red Lock-Tite when I need something to stay in place ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Twocents.gif) Gus ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beer.gif)
