Can anyone help me out with a pic or info for a 68 roadrunner hood latch. I bought a complete setup for a 68 belv. and everythign works except for the primary hood release lever. There is two small unthreaded holes in the fender tie brace and they line up with the levers holes, but theres no way the lever can sit flush. How would this mount or will it even work/am i missing something?

Attached are some pics. The holes are to the right of the bracket(i just have the bracket in the pic to show you it) thanks!

The lever goes under the grille molding. Yes bolts to those two holes. Lever sticks out under the uper molding

Then it's not a 68 lever. My 68 GTX has the lever under the upper molding. I beleive the road runner is the same. That looks like the lever on mine. Perhaps the road runner and GTX used different levers????? I'm not familar with 68 road runners all the ones i've owned were 69's.

Looks like a 68 GTX release to me. A GTX unit won't work on a RR as you already know. GTX is shorter and bent different. Here's the pic I sent you a while back. This is correct for RR.

Think I would just find the correct lever. If you are gonna try to make it work and need measurements or better pics, drop me a line.
