What brand and type of cam break in lube is recommeded when breaking in a cam and lifters?

Your Cam manufacturer should have given you some Cam lube for the lifter face and Cam lobe , if not they should have some. I assume they are a flat tappet type Cam , you do not need these additives if you are using a "Roller Type Cam"

They also have a "Break in" Oil.

I like the black Moly paste. It looks nasty and I figure it's just like medicine if it looks wicked then it's probably going to do it's job. Definitely Brad Penn oil or hughes' additive or something similar. Many good routes to go w this

I use the Mopar lube that comes with their cams. Mopar cam lube and Valvoline racing oil and I have never had a cam wipe. Ron
