Anyone add an air dam to their car that either from another vehicle or home made?

What did you do?

Lets see em.

Update
Finally got the air dam mocked up on the GTX, which do you like? First two pictures are the Camaro model and the second two are of the Ranger

Poll is later in the post

I've done that multiple times on different cars, done right it helps the MPG on the highway. Pica are on the home computer though.

I used a front air dam from an 03 B-350 ferd van on the front of my 85 truck

it hides the strut rod mounts and sway bar

there are 3 diff ones

2.5"

3" with 3 air holes

3.5" which I used

cheap and the only thing I have seen for a truck...looks good IMHO

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

simple black plastic 'lawn edging'
is inexpensive
& easy to replace when damaged
and should be considered for air dams,
or the bottom-most part of a street air dam
... where damage is most likely

, its really a low tech issue, and parking curbs wreak havoc anyway, and just doing anything is a plus, not sure if the attached pic shows well of just the flat plastic bolted on spoiler I made, it also improved cooling a little at speed.

I realize this is the way most race car guys go and maybe even for a driver but not for the GTX.

Nope, just bad taste...

I've got an air dam for the 66 Coronet in progress, but not enough for a decent pic.

I agree on the looks part, but I bet it works great and better then anyone's on this board. The "goofy" air dam was on street driven pickup seen by me late one night parked in front of a grocery store.

Yep!

Mounted with regular sheet metal screws.

Here's the one I ran on my old wagon; attached to bottom of radiator support filler. That & dropping the nose a little was worth about 1.5 MPG @ 65-70.
The 1st-Gen Camaro spoiler works on a variety of body styles; first time I used one was on my high-school Corvair, and it cured the light front-end deal on the freeway.

Sinister....

I asked the forum last year for ideas and now they have appeared through another posting. Like this one or is it another? Yours looks more of a flat even surface on the lower edge.
