This is a 74 colt and it has a little longer engine bay than they earlier colts. The center of the firewall was cut out and set back about 5 to 6"

My '74 had a 340 small block in it and was driven on the street for a couple years. I regret I never took one picture of the install or the car in that trim. In 'mid '92 I started the big block project and finished it is late '93. Once again, no pictures. What was I thinking? It now has a 542 big block being installed. I will be taking some pictures this time.

Yeah it should be, 350 or so hp with an 8 valve head, in a car that weighs 2300 pounds at the most when its done, I dont see the need for a small block.

Al, I think I have some pics that you sent me a while back when I was playing with the Arrow chassis I had.

I will have to check my old PC to see if I can find some pics of the 440 shoved between it's limbs.

now that's a 4cyl i could live with in a Colt. How much modification was necessary to get it to fit? How did you adapt a 904? I'll take all the details you want to post.

thanks

Dennis

Made a different cross member mainly to get the steering in front(add a rack) dakota rwd application oil pan, fabbed up motor mounts, The adapter is a hard to find one to adapt to a sb 904 bellhousing, the easier engine to do is the cloud car 2.4 as far as the adapter goes, ththey are readily available.
