Is the 2.2 and the 2.5 the same except for the displacement?

Yea the newer common blocks came in both displacements, I love the torque of the 2.5 turbos coupled with an automatic

Your swap is looking more and more interesting. Anyway you could bring your Colt to Michigan so I can check it out in person??? LOL

HAHA, no was there last summer, grew up in SW Michigan, Coloma. My brothers still live there, they have more Mopar stuff than Iacocca.
