I have been planning on getting a set of FireCore wires when I needed to change my wires. We start test and tune this weekend and here it is, a bad plugwire on 5 and 7. Aint that the way is usually goes? Question is, I have an MSD 6AL box. Someone told me yesterday that with that box, I'm wasting my money getting a good set of wires. All I need is a regular set of 7mm. Is that true? He said I would need better wires if I put in a bigger ign box like a 7al or something like that. Would a more expensive set of wires help ET or anything? I have to do something today with it to be ready to make some passes with it this weekend.

Thanks in advance

Tell that someone to grab a hold of a plug wire while you grank it over maybe he'll change his mind

Quality plug wires do more than just carry the voltage transmitted through them. Go for the Fire Core's

When it comes to ignition wires, you pretty much pay for what you get. Matching ignition components is ok, but I personnally like to go over kill on the wires ( 8MM, low impedance, jacketed, heat resistant boots, etc. ) as you don't want them to be the limiting factor in your ignition system. A little more $ up front, but you get to cross that worry off your list.
