fullmetaljacket OP master F Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 6,849	a friend wants to know how long can an engine sit on a shelf after being totally built. of course this motor is probably lubed well before storage.

Same things as jeeps in cartons, 20+yrs and started right up after the proper preparations Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

This will help save the valve springs, but mainly keep stuff out of the engine...I would make some block off plates for every opening.
