I have pulled 1 or 2 fox body clusters but never pulled a Mopar instrument cluster. Is there anything special I need to know? I assume I need to drop the column and pull the cluster out from the front. Will I be able to pull the cluster out 6-8 inches in order to remove the wires/speedo cable or do I do that first from underneath? Any other tips/pointers would be much appreciated. I just don't want to break something that is hard to replace/repair!

You are correct. You should be able to pull it out enough to get speedo cable undone. Once thats done then you'll have more room to work with.

Nothing really tricky but a really short screwdriver helps make it easier to get the screws in and out.

Now I need to pin those needles, got to feel that heat

disconnect the battery. You'll also need to remove the heater control knobs. It'll most likely be stubborn to remove even with the column dropped because of the screw clips...Take the pos and neg wires off amp meter first and it should come out enough to disconnect speedo and other harness connectors.Radio knobs have to come off also

I was able to remove mine without having to drop the steering column. Probably would have been easier, but not required.
