I'm in the process of taking apart my 3 speed wiper motor so I can clean it up and powdercoat/paint/make it look better.

Theres a bushing in the gear housing (silver part) that the armature shaft rides on that I need to remove before having it blasted. I'm having trouble removing this as there seems to be some sort of retaining clip that won't let the bushing come out. Anybody know how to remove this? In the picture I attached it is the blueish/green part around the bushing.

I know the bushing looks out of round but its just the angle I was holding the camera at

that blueish/gray part is the spring what holds the bushing there ( bushing is like a ball ).

dunno how to remove the bushing. Spring is electric point welded there

Make or buy a small plug to fit on top of the spring.Put a little RTV on it let it dry and plast away. When you paint it make sure nothing gets in the bushing
