3050lbs,461cube,1/3/4" headers threw full exhaust, full interior,10"tire with mono leaf spring and cal tracs,8.75rearend with 3.91gears,727trans with NO trans brake,92 octane gas and the best thing is had the car in vegas three years ago(mopars at the strip)drove it around alot temp never got pass 200degrees!!O and the radio works.
No doubt a bad bad ride..... plumb in a turbo and watch 175 mph show up on the timing board, and 461 cubes is not a "small" block.....

i'm not doubting you have a nice fast car there but give more info such as weight, displacement and such. generally speaking just about any turbo setup is going to outrun a naturally aspirated one and have better manners.
I love my car, but there was a dude on here who did some turbo stuff to a bone stock 318 dart. It runs faster than my car, with way less money.
I plan on doing a turbo for my 74 3/4 ton. I have a 400BB (7.5:1 comp) that is a low miler than purrs. I figure work out the plumbing, and it'll be a monster in no time.

Ok here we go turbos are not cheap they are a nitemare to plum the headers alone are 2000 dollars if you do them right! And no you cant make big power without good parts! It takes big RPM to get turbos to make boost and you are not going to do this with stock rods and pistons. If you do it wont live long so dollar for dollar a good n/a over a stock bottom end turbo motor makes good sence for someone wanting to race or go fast on a budget!!
Not true. 2000 dollars for headers? Who does your work? You might wanna shop around.
And just how much does an Indy headed 461 cubic inch small block cost nowadays? 10,12,15,18 grand? Maybe you can, but the majority of people cant just drop that much on a motor. There are 550 dollar turbos on 360" motors running mid 8's on 10 inch tires. To me, that is impressive.
As has always been the case, most Mopar guys are scared to "step outside the box" and come to the "dark side"
