In my last post I slipped in the pun that we were going to "pick it up". You can tell by my expression that I'm having doubts about the original plan.

A little teeter-totter action with a steel plate under the oil pan to help it slide.

I don't know about you guys but I can't bring a project home and not get some quick "seat time" in it right away! The Honda buckets I've had laying around the shop fit inside the cab well. Without the headrests they tuck into the cove under the rear window perfectly. The thing that really surprises me about this is that I felt more comfortable sitting in this tiny cab in those seats than the factory bench in my '78 pickup!

I got the fenders/grille shell mocked up with it on the trailer still but it was too dark for a pic. I'll try to get one tomorrow.

Plans are for it to go onto a Dakota chassis and become a daily driver.
Reality is that it may sit behind my shop until somebody else talks me out of it. At least I'm being realistic, right?

How did you get it off the trailer?

I haven't yet. I bought some 10" pneumatic casters and plan to make some "skates" for it. I can use my Rhino to move it around then.

I got some pics today but spent the rest of the day working on other projects around the house. I'll have to get the new pics downloaded from my phone. It's 1 a.m. and I'm dead tired.

Looks like theres some potential. My first truck was a 42 Dodge with a 3 speed and flathead 6. Sold it to buy a Chevelle. Sorry did it for the ladies The chevelle was done and looked better. Looking back should of kept the truck I do miss it. Good luck on your project.

Any leads on places to buy body and trim parts for this would be greatly appreciated.

I can provide some leads but it would be helpful to know what pieces are you after.

I have a 38 dodge pickup went with robert motors for all my rubber for windows, and seals then there is a few places making glass fenders and grills with inserts one place is called R & B rods ( i think ) if need i can look and make sure name is right. I may have a center pc for the grill its still in the box I would have to look it up to see if its for a 37 ply know for sure it's not for a 38 dodge, need to get back on it, good luck with yours
