Confusion
I had a 4.15 stroke big block crankshaft that started out with Mopar size rod journals, reground to the big block Chevy 2.2 journals. Its time to buy connecting rods and I was wondering if there were any major downfalls to running a Chevy width connecting rod on a Mopar width journal? Will there be any issues with the extra side clearance? Thanks for any input!

I`ve been runnin em for almost 9 years and it SEEMS to be working ok so far w/about .035-.050 clearance per journal.

First one I put together bout 5-6 years ago, had .075-.080 side clearance..that engine was one of the best ones yet..easy on bearings, and what seemed like indestructible...
dont worry.

Indestructable and a helluva ride ESPECIALLY on the street.

It would only be an issue with very high rpm, fly-weight rotating mass and super low compression height; like CE or PS.

The oil clearance is a non-issue, but check to be sure the rods can strike the cheek before the pin boss touches the rod eye.

I believe Eagle sells a rod that has Chevy 2.200 rod journal and has Mopar big end width of 1.007. That is if you don't already have rods.
