used it on a hood scoop a last year. used their primer, artic white and clear. the primer was suppose to be gray but when mixed it was white. sprays really easily decided to change the color of the car so I repainted it with a good paint system. So I can not say how it holds up. Rob

You can go to a ppg or automotive paint store and they will mix you enough to use in this disposable spray device. The guy at a store I used for years said it works pretty good. I can't recall if the propellant was separate or not. It wasn't expensive and they should be able to match the paint perfectly with those paint spectrometer or whatever it's called. Oh, that would be a urethane paint too, I believe.

Only thing I really heard about it is because it's an uncatalyzed laquer, as in no hardener, it will be susceptable to being damaged by chemicals. Someone explained it to the effect of when enamel paint dries, something about the make up of it causes it to not be able to be reliquified by solvent, where this laquer(with no available hardener) will. Someone claimed they used it and a gas spill messed with the finish. This is just what I read on another forum, no first hand experience.
Laquer in general never had a catalist option, so yes it can be removed, softened or liquified with thinner or gas..but it will dry and return to it's orginal state if you dont mess with it.. There have been hundreds of millions of cars painted with Laquer.. If you spill gas on your cured laquer finish, simply let it dry for a couple of days and wax or buff it ... Here is my 68 Charger R/T painted in Laquer/ clear in 1992, and yes I have accidentally spilled gas on the paint when the nozzle didnt shut off quick enough..
