Don't like Chevies on the show? Do some of you "ever actually go to a drag strip and watch racing? The ratio of Chevies to Mopars is easily 10/1. They have alot on the show because alot show up to race period."

Maybe that is the case in Minnesota, but in Western Pa / Ohio there is a lot of MoPar presence.....probably close to 40 percent.

On a regular bracket weekend? Not at Quaker City. Out of 200-ish cars, I'd say a dozen on a good weekend.

Ken Herring is a knob with a bad case of inflated ego syndrome.
He actually said to a guy on pinks once "just one question. Why would you run a mopar?"
The cool thing was, it was an all-mopar final.

Ya, the "why would you run a mopar" is classic IDIOT. Same thing on pinks..........you hear those clucks talk smack about Mopars and it`s probably cos they have no clue on how to tune em and make em run like we do.

I don't mind Ken most times but his cracks about MOPARS sometimes... Typical Chevy is superior ______? Maybe he just likes to rub it in on Rich and Willie or even Clay (PAO) who seem to love MOPARS. Brett the announcer is just a B-movie actor. I don't mind the slow cars because that is what actually shows up at most tracks. Like him or not, Rich C. came up with shows about grassroots racers that are watchable and successful.

Why do I run a Mopar? Well, I have some class and don't want to be another ME TOO Chevy guy. No imagination running a Chevy.

Herring has the dumbest looking beard I've ever seen. It's right up there with Hitler's mustache. I watch the show a lot despite Herring (that's a fish served in sour cream, isn't it?). I do pretty good on the Mopars. The 10.50 850 HP cars are hard to guess.

Ken is really a cool guy. About half the stuff that goes on with that show, is just the guys ribbing each other and taking shots. If you don't know the behind the scenes stuff though, you don't catch it. The producer is always trying to find cars to trip Ken up, that is the reason for the weird assortment. You keep trotting everyday bracket and index cars out there and Ken will eat these other guys up.

I made the show at Budds Creek Md. The car ran ok, it was the first pass on the re-build. Ken wound up guessing a 9.70 and the car went 9.71. I went by myself and didnt get any pics or vids of the event. Brett Ken and the whole crew were great and I actually sat around and talked with them inbetween tapings. The show will be airing sometime in February.

i think about every front wheel riceburner on that show has 400 to 600hp at the "wheels." so here's the new way to make money, take a kid's money and tell him he has 600hp.

My favorite was the one with the 2 Lambo's (along with lots of Vipers) that claimed 1300 hp and ran low 11's at ~ 125....The not so well informed rich guy said he dumped over 100 grand into upgrades...on his 200 plus thousand dollar car.

I can't believe the lack of safety equipment that is missed, I have seen 11 second cars with no helmets, a ninja bike rider in Shorts! and a 10 second truck with the driver doing a across the line burnout with no helmet and then when he stages he has a helmet on to name a few.
I do enjoy the show and have no complaints other than the lack of safety at times.

Ken Herring is about as laid back as it gets, I don't think he tries to be a TV star at all.
