I can't believe the lack of safety equipment that is missed, I have seen 11 second cars with no helmets, a ninja bike rider in Shorts! and a 10 second truck with the driver doing a across the line burnout with no helmet and then when he stages he has a helmet on to name a few.

the guy wearing shorts on the bike just floored me and you can bet that had he wiped out you would never see it aired and I am pretty sure the dim-wit would then sue for letting him do it in the first place.

I saw that too. Every Viper was turbo'd, twin turbo'd, or blown. They all claimed 1000 to 1300 REAR WHEEL hp! Not only were their et's slow, but 125 to 135 mph is not 1000+ hp territory.

Probably didn't help that not one of them could shift to save their own life........

I raced at Maryland International Raceway pinks last year. I took my throttle stop off and was running 11.20's without a rollbar and nobody said a thing. But if someone would have said something I would have said that I could put the stop back on it but then that wouldn't be running "ALL OUT"! And did I get tired of hearing that every 30 seconds.

The day the Vipers ran a t ZMax the track prep was terrible, and lets face those cars are set up to be 100% drag cars. To me the show proves well built, well thought out cars run what they are supposed to run. One of my favorite cars on the show was Kurt Huntington's 68 Camaro. Car had a SB2 382ci motor with a 390cfm carb, 4 speed, and still clicked off a 10.09 at 132 mph. And that was at Zmax the day track prep wasn't the best.

Many of the cars at zMax were done by Underground Racing and they do make the power they claim. I know people that were there that day, and the track was JUNK, which seems to be typical for that facility.

I know one car that was on the show. I have seen it run 125 in the 1/8 mile on street tires, with decent track prep.
