Scott said Chris had some insider info that DQ'd him

Cars weighs 2820 #'s w?o me in it.

We made a couple more pulls on Alky after Dave came in and suggested opening the plug gap from .035 to .070, putting the HVC coil on it and setting the timming to 35*s.

On that run it made 622 HP and 528 ft lbs.

Time to get cleaned up and get home so I can appease the wife. I'ld really like to stay and try more but yuou know how it is.

I'll try to get the vids up tonight but might be tomorrow.

This is from the other post.....

Here's the motor info....

440, .030 over
cast crank
6pk rods
hyper pistons sitting .070 in the hole
Not sure on CR but I tihnk it's 9:1 if I calculated it right. Might be lower

OOTB Eddy heads (Intake Valve Diameter (in) 2.140 in. Exhaust Valve Diameter (in) 1.810 in.)

Cam, (solid lift)
Intake Valve Lift with 1.5 Ratio 0.555 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with 1.5 Ratio 0.555 in.
Duration at 050 inch Lift 262 int./262 exh.
Did NOT degree it in just lined up the dots but..
Lobe Separation (degrees) 110
Intake Centerline: 106

Team G intake

750 BG claw (running 110 oct)

MSD dist locked out @ 38*s

2 1/8 hooker SC headers.

I don't expect it to put up anything impressive so don't be afraid to give me an honest opinion.

Best ET's were in the high 10.9's but it was more often in the low 11.0's.

Just remember, My car is kinda light for a B body @ 2820 (2980 with me in it)

That gives me a good idea how Koffel's dyno compares to the two I've used previously.

Bill why in the world are you running 110 octane race gas on a low 11 second 9:1 compression motor?

Bob, we ran out of 93 one day at the track and 110 was all we coud get. For what ever reason the car ET'd better by a couple tenths so I stuck with it.

I'm going to try and head back out there Tues day and start tearing it down. After the tear down and inspection we'll have a better idea of what if anything is still usable and start forming a game plan. I do know he want to seriously up the compresion and do some work on the heads.

You're able to devote a lot of time and money to this addiction and still have a wife? Lucky dawg!

I got her hooked too. SHe has a 72 charger that runs low 13's. Wild Fire is her user name. She doesn't post much though.

540 horsepower and 3000lb raceweight, should propell you to mid 10's. Or did you change something before you put it on the dyno?

Just started reading this post today sorry if I missed something/

Unless it has something to do with the difference in the air from now and the summer?

Me too. My car weighs 3320 (500 lbs more) and traps the same, and I know it doesnt make even close to 540... when it would need to make more than that...

All that said, its just a tool for comparison, and it sounds like you made some major gains on alky, very cool

11.48 @ 120 with a 1.80 60' 318, stock 1.88 heads, stock 904, Pump Gas, 13 lbs of boost.

9.94 @ 134, 318 on pump gas, 14 lbs w/ Eddies, transbrake 727, 3600 lbs, 3.54 gear and 28's.

Got to be in the converter and gearing. If I remember right Bill said 60' was around 1.51. I am glad it made more than you expected Bill. Don't take this the wrong way but Koffell's dyno seems pretty generous.

Is this the Comp cams 296 duration ( advertised ) solid flat tappet Magnum cam. Sure sounds good.

Well Bill looks like a change (ET) in your signature is forthcoming.
