Andy, Waiting to see your dyno results! looks great. Do you think the AVS (s) will sync up on them with just the spring tension being set close? or is it even an issue? What fuel pump will/would you use if this goes in a car?

For my Dual quad setup I have the Edelbrock 110GPH mechanical on standby when I do the swap...I didnt wanna go with an electric fuel pump....I dont like too much electric stuff (water pump, fans, etc)

Have been running mine for two years now and am very satisfied. Mild street build.

Any results yet?

Any advice on what bracket to use for the throttle cable?

I designed a throttle linkage kit that works with a stock Mopar throttle cable. I'll have these kits avaiable for sale by the end of the year.

Andy I absolutely love that air cleaner assembly! Is the base made of stamped steel? I plan to run that unit with base mods to fit my Offenhauser for the 360.

Keep old mopars alive.

My friend runs that intake on his 65 Plymouth. 650 Eddys,.557 Mopar solid, bowl jobbed 906, small headers,4.56 It runs 11.50@114. Very consistant. Basicly a street car no cage, subframe connectors, electric water pump. We have never run any other intake though we did try 750 Eddys which were no help. Never changed the stock jetting. We have open spacers under the carbs and the stock Hemi style scoop is sealed to the hood. We used the stock throttle cable.

I got my sleeper air cleaner done on mine...don't laugh, it hides everything including the NOS. Silly but fun.

Any issues running direct linkage versus progressive? I havent fired mine up yet and was wondering if by not running progressive if I'd get too much fuel.

I'll sell you the kit that is in the picture. It is my prototype kit but it works just fine. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

My 505 motor made a little over 600 hp with the CH-28 setup. I was running twin 500 cfm Edelbrock carbs and a Comp 292HR hyd roller cam.

What are the threads that go inside the Carter fuel inlet? I need to order up a set of the Zinc Plated -6 AN but unclear as to that size

Torque peak is around 4500-4800 rpm, power peak is another 1000 rpm higher. Power dropped off fairly quickly after 6000 rpm but that could be the hyd roller cam as well as the intake. But that is okay, Edelbrock heads on top of a 500 inch shortblock aren't going to make peak power much past 6000 rpm regardless of the cam and intake.

That's tasty. Choice. I love the sleeper look!

Parts I seek: driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set 16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better. 69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields Send a PM.

Hey AndyF, that's the aircleaner I suggested to you - looks so much better than that chrome one!

I'd suggest you give me a copy of your book in exchange for such a good tip, but I already bought a copy.

Andy, Did you notice a big difference using the carb spacers? Are they 1"?
What was the hp/tq difference between the two intakes? Just curious.

Also you have a pm.

I used 2 inch tall open spacers because it is a big motor and we were running WOT on the dyno. I didn't try it without the spacers so I'm not sure how much it mattered.

The Performer RPM combo used a 1000HP Holley carb. That combo made roughly 20 more ft-lbs and 20 more HP than the CH-28. So only a 3% difference on this motor.

The CH-28 setup with the dual 500 cfm carbs ran a lot smoother than the 1000HP Holley. The motor sounded like a stocker with the CH-28 installed.
