Brian, the original Idea for squattie was to make it a little pumper firetruck
That plan doesn't have anything to do with that brush fire a few years ago that reached your parts cars does it?
Just seeing if my memory is still working at my older age.
no I had planned the firetruck Idea long befor those fires. but this last fire Squattie was the only car that we took with us when we left(closest to being done). the picture below is where i got the idea for a firetruck. Ron...

Anyone know what those wheels are? I am thinking those are pretty sweet looking, but might look better with a two tone paint, spokes the antique tan color, centers body color. Are they original era wheels or modern billets from vintage wheels?
are you talking about the wheels on the firetruck, I think those are made by Crager and they don't make them anymore, they were a chrome wheel and not billet ones. Ron...

If I remember right the rim part and the center were chrome plated steel and the "cover" was chromed plastic to cover the lugs and I remember they have 2 bolt patterns, I see them once in awhile at the swapmeets but most of them didn't look so good(rust, missing caps or scraped up) Ron....

Sounds like the truck is coming along nicely. Will any of the fire equipment be funtional?
it is coming along pretty good, I got it running again last weekend, and mounted the rear lites and fenders for their final fit and the gas tank is in for the final time..
while I have some fire truck equipment stuff like hose nossels, gauges and a few fire extinguisers. I am going to hold off on putting that stuff on as I might have a buyer for it that has a plumbing business. so it will just be a utility truck for now and we will see what happens
and none of the fire truck stuff is funtional except the fire extinguisers Ron...
