Iron Mountain? I haven't heard of these. Who casts them?
I think he means the "Iron Rams" hughes sells, which are just enginequest 318A's (mag intake) or 318B's (LA intake)
to answer the OP's q's....
most places I've seen the OOTB flow with stock magnum sized valves for the RHS's are in the 240-250cfm range.
stock big valve J heads flow ~220 cfm.
also, the RHS's have the magnum closed chamber, which is smaller than the open j's....expect about a 1/2 point compression increase, and due to the better chamber design, you may not need as much total timing (my stock magnum headed 318 seems to perform best with 30-32 degrees total, whereas my old open chambered 360 likes ~36-38).

So the Iron Ram head even with the "LA" pattern doesnt have rocker shaft pedastals and no way you could use your factory shafts and rockers? Am I seeing that right? So if I wanted to run these on a LA 318 I'm going to need all the valve train from a Magnum motor? Wonder if the LA valve covers would bolt up to them? It looks like the RHS LA "X" head would be the way I'd want to go if I wanted a true LA engine valve train system and valve cover pattern but get the same flow and the closed chambers out of a cast iron small block head as the Iron Rams? But I sure dont like the look of the end of the RHS head though on a stock motor.

I would call Hughes & talked with them, thats your best bet, i bought a set of the RHS Magnum heads for my 360 magnum from them, the LA-X is if you want to run the shaft mount style rockers, i really like these heads, for 875.00 there a heck of a deal, hughes goes through them & double checks everything, seals them up & they are ready to bolt on, i will warn you that they are a heavy castings & you feel it, but thats a good thing, i don't think you'll find a better "as new ready to run" iron head out there for what they flow "stock" for the price. These heads stock will support 450hp, ported they will go support 550hp, but thats not max'd out either. Hughes is still doing other things with these heads & really like em, the nice thing about them is, you can drop them on your mild engine, but then (even in stock form) they can be dropped on a stroker & still feel right at home there too, best of both worlds, they have extra meat in all the criticle areas such as the seats, so no more cracking, extra meat on the surface for angle milling.
The RHS heads in stock form flow about 10 cfm more then a stock Iron ram head.

correct, the EQ 318B's still use magnum rockers and pushrod oiling. used rockers can be found for $40-50, new stockers about $80/set, USA made roller rockers (scorpion for SBC or AMC app) for about $230...try that with a shaft mount system ($550+ for a decent set of rollers)....
LA valve covers work on OEM mag heads, just use a good neoprene/silicone VC gasket. should work on the iron rams, too.
once you get your accessories on and the engine painted, you don't notice the end of the head much...
