Ask Chris AKA SUPERSTOCKRACER he should be thinking of selling a early b-body

You need to do some research. All the big NSS associations do not allow that E body. The rules are typically 60-67 full bodied with a hemi or wedge and 67-69 dart/barracuda.

The B body will give you more options with traveling series.

I've had both.

I've gotten to where I actually prefer the early B-bodies over the E-bodies.

They're still reasonably cheap, readily available and 4 door versions make things like entire front clips and trim/interior parts more readily available.

E-bodys have almost everything available reproduction but you pay $$$ for it!

Weight tends to be pretty equal if the cars are equipped similarly so that isn't a big issue.

I'd say pick the one you like and run with it!

My personal preference is the sinister look of a black '63 Dodge 330 with a Max Wedge hood scoop!

...better check with which ever nss series you plan on running with..i don't believe the 70 e-body fits in nss...it's a cool class though, i plan on running as much of it next year as i can..

I have 4 early B's (have owned 6), and I would build the 'cuda. The B's are over done IMO, time for something different.

I am building a 68 Cuda from back in my high school days to run NSS with. This car is like an old friend and we go WAY back. I can't play with the big $$$ Hemi guys, so I am running a low deck wedge and a Jerico.

If I had not found it after searching for years, I would be running an early 60's B Body. No doubt about it.

Of course my hands down favorite all time NSS car is FUGLY, Damon is a great friend that goes out of his way to help me out teaching me lots about racing in NSS. Learned a ton from him, and had a chance to check out FUGLY up close. That car is a work of art! Most of it had to be hand built because it was rusty and beat pretty bad. It lives up to it's name, and has a personality 10' tall.

Not exactly a smooth looking E Body, but NSS cars are supposed to reflect the look of the times back then. When you look at the old photo's those guys were racing anything they could stuff a hot engine in.

Here's some I can remember:

www.nssracing.com
www.texasoutsiders.com
www.ecnssa.com

There's also a Midwest NSS Association, a few more on the east coast, and I gotta think the west coast has one, although I've never seen a web site. I'm building a Wedge powered 67 Dart for NSS.

I run a Cuda in NENDRA and my race weight is 3,265. But its not a gutted car. Still has steel doors, fenders, hinged hood & trunk and I have power windows.

what about N.E.T.O
and MANDRA and NENDRA, they all allow both types of cars to participate?
i have heard really good things about NENDRA in the dragtime news.

I have race both, 1970 cuda and several early(pre 1965) B bodys and I have helped several racers with later(1968-70) B bodys. The E bodys don't have good weight distribution making them harder to hook up They will probally need to wiegh very close to each other in the same class so I would build a B body unless I could run a 1967 to 1969 A body with the same motor as used in the B bdoy and E body
