Well I dont know what the price for that little [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] are SUPPOSED to be,but I bit the bullet and spent almost $5 on one tiny key,and spent a few minutes trying to get the belt on again after I installed the cam sprocket. I gave up and removed the tensioner entirely, and got the belt to go on that way. I then reinstalled the tensioner.

Got just about everything buttoned back up with the exception of the lower splash shield and the drive belts.

I sure hope it will start or even try. This was my first timing belt and being that,it was somewhat a pain. I checked and rechecked the reference marks down below and up above. Wish me luck when it comes time to fire it up.

Try and start it before you put the rest of the belts etc. on. That way you won't have to undo everything if it doesn't start. You won't hurt anything if you just start it and shut it back off.

I always rotate a few times to make sure the marks don't "move".

I rotated it per the instructions. It says that will center the belt. The marks lined up. I put a battery in it and cranked it over and got nothing. No fire. Must be something else wrong. Regardless,It needed a new timing belt in a serious way,so that doesnt bother me too much.

Im gonna call it quits on this thing for now and for probably a few weeks,Im just burned out. I was so hopeful that it would start, but hey thats the way the cookie crumbles.

The only thing I will have to remove is the upper and lower timing covers and the crank pulley. No biggie. It needs new drive belts and I dont have the extra $$$ to spend on them at the moment.

the suggested retail is $2.95...i've never understood why people mark up small sales prices like that....?..how much did they make by doing that..a buck maybe $1.25..why? what good did it do..now they have a disgruntled cusomer that knows they gauged them...and probably won't go back..NO GOOD...was this dealer a 5 star dealer?..any way good luck getting it back together hope you get it running soon.
