I would like to share the next generation Mopar fan. This is my son (12 years old) and his 1968 Superbee. It is not much but it is a 383 4sp car and very limited on the option side. He has paid for most of car out of his own savings and selling of of his last car. Patrick was given a Pontiac firebird that we put together last winter and when I pulled my Roadrunner out this summer to put the new engine in he was helping with that a the 70 Charger that I am doing for a friend he stated that he wanted a mopar and not the bird. So he sold the bird and found this. The Bee needs lots of work but he has the abition for it. He has seen the pic's of my runner when I got it and it was less that what he's got to start with. So forward we go!!

Good stuff! My first car is my 1968 Super Bee. Got it when I was 16 and it was a major project. You're already ahead of me. Took me until I was 18 to get it going. what will all the specs be on the whole thing? color, rear, etc.

That's awesome! I can't even imagine having that opportunity when I was his age. Good luck, I'll be watching.

That's terrific! I hope he enjoys working on it with you. The memories I cherish most with my dad are the ones where we were working on my first and second cars. Wish I photos of us together. Make sure you get some with both you guys working on it.

Man, i wish i had gotten into this at his age.
I'm a late bloomer. I didn't get into mopars until i was about 27. I'm 33 now. I guess it's better late then never.
Good luck on your project!

This is mock-up of the 69 383-HP that will be going in the Bee. Hope to get a cam for him for
X-Mas, just a mild street cam.

I don't think there's anything better than building a car with your son! Here's pictures of when I was restoring my 70 Duster with my dad - bought it when I was 12 and we finished it about 6 years later after working often and hard to pay it all off! Best of luck with your son and your Bee - it's definitely an experience he'll never forget! I know I wont!
