Goofy question...

How tall of an air filter can I run on a '70-74 Barracuda w/ a Rallye hood without doing any cutting or trimming on the bottomside of the hood?

Assume a 440 in the proper location running a single plane M1 w/ no spacer, Holley DP, and a 14" Moroso drop base air cleaner.

The car had a Glasstek fiberglass Rallye hood on it previously that had to have a center brace removed for the 14" x 3" air cleaner the car currently runs. I need to let the body shop know if the factory hood needs to be trimmed or not. (Motor is not in the car at this point.)

Thanks for any feedback.

On my small block, a 3" filter on a drop base just barely, but does clear the rallye hood bracing.
