wanted to share my build with you guys. ive loved this body style dart since i was a kid so about 25yrs ive wanted a 67-69 dart. now i got one and going to build it to be an animal. after reading rules for all the classes around the country i selected to use an lsx as my power train. after buying a 440 and realizing it wont hold my power and to be cost effective. this is my choice of engine to use. i wanted a hemi and just cant swallow the cost differences just for it to be a hemi. i even wanted to run a 354 hemi, but couldnt get a decent deal on one to save my life. i will switch back to mopar someday when aftermarket heads get cast withh thick decks for the newgen hemi, but i have yet to see that aswell. hope you guys like it and will enjoy it as much as i will.

run down,
6.0 lsx stroked to 402cubes,
pt106mm turbo,
superglide for trans,
8.8 ford rear,
25.3 spec cage to be done before springs,
strange brakes,
holeshot wheels or something similar

Wow, all aluminum and an Isx? Who makes it anyway? I see you are in KC, over the summer I could have got an older hemi complete with trans for 200 on craigslist. It was north of Manhattan, I knew it was cheap but just didn't need it and had the time to go and pick it up. Good luck on the build, should be interesting.

its an ls1 mock up block only. mine will be an iron block this pic was taken before the motor plates where made. the einge acually sits a little higher then this, but the stock hood closes with tons of room. i deffinately wish i could have gotten a 354 hemi. its what i really wanted, but couldnt get ahold of one in over 6 months.

Looks good, glad you went with a Mopar engine.
