When they installed my afco sliders they notched the frame where they mounted about 1 1/2 inches.

I saw somewhere that Smith Racecraft makes spring perches that lower the car. Kinda like lowering blocks but built into the spring perch.

When we first put our's on, I thought it sat too high, but after a year they settled to a point where I think it is just right. If you bought them new, Calvert will exchange them once for free if you pay shipping.

I know you got a few differant opinions here. All will work and there are many way ta achive a lower stance. 1-Calvert sells lowering blocks in 1/2 plates 2-Let the car settle onto the springs (also looks like your car is still being put together. wait until you get it at race wait.) 3-they sell a lower acrhed rear half.
Hope this helps

I had a buddy of mine laser cut some perches 2" lower. Mine wrap around the axle and can be welded 360* and won't fold. I got the idea from Overkill racecars on YB and had lem made to my specs. Mine look like these, I don't have a pic here at work. Steve

When using Caltracs do you still use the pinion snubber.Im using them on a dart with the -1 monoleaf springs and strange single adj shocks. With lowering the car I have only about 1 inch on the snubber the car hits hard on the launch but unloads almost leap frogging anybody have a clue?

I have been 1.30 60' no sissy sticks 3250lbs -1 leafs, 1 1/2" billet lowering block, and went to 5/8" u-bolts. Never had any trouble.
