what size front runners are you guys running ? >> 26"-27"-28" ? what brand name? ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scope.gif) I have 25.25" up front now and it needs a taller tire so I can let the front end down lower. I need that 5 inch front end travel . have the new cal trac shocks up front and the complete cal trac set up in the rear also. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) Thanks in advance ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

26" goodyears here ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)
Just keep in mind that as you increase the diameter you increase the rollout and it will slow your RT's.

If you are looking for a little more of a street / strip compromise and save a few $, you might want to consider an all aluminum wheel from a late 70's Cordoba. They might be a little wide at 15"X6", but they weigh 13# each without all the flash on them. I mounted 70 series street radial tires on mine (27.4" dia ) for a total weight (tire / wheel / lug nuts) of 41 lbs. each. Not too bad considering what the rest of my turd weighs.

Depending on what series we run (422 AllStars run a 0.400 full tree; the rest of the world runs a 0.500 full tree), we switch between 26.5 and 29" tires.

28" tall M/T Sportsmans. I went with the 28" so I could do exactly what you're trying to do...get more suspension travel. I used to have 26" tires on it and put on the 28" tires. I lowered the car down over them for the same ride height but an extra inch of travel. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) CHIP
