Can you post the whole time slip numbers... could
be as simple as running out of fuel on top end BUT
117 falls in line for the 11.28... how many revs does
he turn

More rear gear,or shorter tire. 904 with 2.74 low gear set and 5500converter. Those are my guesses based on limited input.

Seems very good for a stock stroke 340 at that weight. Most of the faster smallblocks are strokers. Ron

ask your friend how much his car weights and a more modern profile camshaft would probably do some good .

combo looks good but I think the 60ft should be lower: 1.48-1.52.

That's for sure! If it were my car, (assuming a full time race car...no street time) the first place I'd go is with a modern roller. I could see 2-3 tenths there easily with the right stick. Next, fiddle with more gear and a converter that is RIGHT for the rest of the combo.

No reason why he couldn't see 10.70-80's from what he has done so far!

In comparison i have a 3420# race car/driver,with a 408,11.9 comp.,Eddy heads with clean up in bowls/ports/runners,590 cam straight up,1.5 rockers,super victor intake,750hp carb,TTI headers,timing 38*locked,hughes springs(1111),904 trans TCS 8" converter with 5400 flash,low gear set,4.30 gear and 30X9 hoosier's
Ran a best so far of 10.97 with 1.47 60'
I'd start by seeing if the car is spinning and how the suspension is working.
My suspension is only stock leafs with a added leaf each side.

Ok,the timing is 38* ,the 60ft is 1.56 the 1/8 is 7.43 @95.74 and the 1/4 was 11.28 @117.17.....So i guess we`re gonna take some weight out and order a roller. The ? is where would we take some weight from and who would make a decent solid roller?

You don't need a roller cam to help out...you need to get rid of that 590 cam. It's way too big for what your doing.
I'd recommend a quicker and smaller lobe and keep it FT.
Probably around 250-254@ .050 on a 106lca and advance it 4 degrees or so.
You should pick up a ton of launch TQ and still maintain peak HP.
