Since this subject seems to be coming up alot and more frequently I thought I'ld post a quick how to guide.
I use Faststone image resizer to resize all my pics then upload to PHOTOBUCKET.
Open Faststone and use the file folder menu to find the pics you want to resize. Select the pic by clicking on it and then click the Resize/Resample icon (circled)
Enter the new WIDTH and it will automaticaly reset the hight.
Click OK and move on to the next pic and it will direct to save changes made to that one.
Now go to Photbucket and select Upload Images
Once the pics are on PB there are 2 ways to generate IMG codes for use in your posts. The first is to move your cursor over the pic you want and a drop screen will appear. In the last box IMG CODE, Highlight/copy everything in the box.
Or, if you want to add multiple pics, Click the little box that appears next to the title under each pic you want to add.
Then scroll to the bottom and select GENERATE HTML AND IMG CODES
In the 4th box down titled IMG images FOR MESSAGE BOARDS Highlight/copy everything in the box.
Regardless of which method you used, Paste the the context into the Post/Reply box on the forum.
If all has gone according to design, you should see the pics when you preveiw your post.

INFRAVIEW is another popular resizer so I thought I would add that to this. Personally I find Faststone to be easier but there is more than one way to skin a cat.
First, Select FILE then OPEN
Choose the file where the pic is located
Select your pic and click OPEN
Select the IMAGE tab and click RESIZE/RESAMPLE
Here there are 2 methods of resizing. First, you can enter a pixal count and it will calculate the other side for you. Or, you can choose from some premetermined settings. Click OK when finished
Select the FILE tab and then SAVE AS
Here you can change the name of the file if you want to retain the original size as well as the new size.
