Is the flywheel on /6's and early V8 A bodys the same for a 9.5" clutch? I think it's the 124 tooth version.

No, the /6 flywheel will not bolt to an LA crank. I think two bolts are off.As for the rest of the flywheel matching up (tooth count, pressure plate bolt pattern, etc) I dunno.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

Be careful, Slant flywheels (and I think SB too) have different size holes in the center for the register on the crank. '68 and up have a larger diameter hole than '67 and down.

I have a flywheel out of a 68 273 4-speed Dart laying in a pile in the barn. If you can't find one soon PM me and I will dig it out. I drive to Hudson, FL a dozen times every year...
Cool I'll keep that in mind, I have Tampa as a general location and I work there but Hudson starts about 250' from the front door of my house.

Let's clear this one up right now.
The difference is NOT the outer diameter, which is all that matters fr a manual trans setup.
The difference is the inner diameter where the snout of the torque converter is supported.
This difference applies only to an automatic equipped car, not one with a manual trans. If you happen to have the early, smaller inner diameter crank and whant to run it with a later, large diameter T/C then you can machine the inner diameter out. If you happen to have a later crank with the larger diameter and you need to run it with a smaller diameter T/C then you need an annular ring to make up the difference. I believe Wildcat Auto sells them, among others.
I guarantee that the outer diameter of the register is smaller too. I have 3 small register flywheels in my shop now and they will not fit a later crank.
