I ran ATF+3, then +4 in an 87 d150 for the duration of it's life. Lockup 904; key word being lockup No trouble ever. Too bad cab rusted off it.

I just added 1.5 quarts of the ATF+4 to my low mileage all original Superbee and drove 1100 miles round trip from Knoxville, TN to St Louis, MO for Monster Mopar Weekend and had the following tranny troubles: 1. Zero 2. Zilch 3. None Good to go by my account!

The newer fluids are backwards compatible with a few exceptions, even Ma Mopar says so.
