Nothing wrong with the production one but you might have to weld the advance slots and file them... but if you want easy adjustment then go with MSD

The new mopar distributors with the mallory guts are nice for the money with adjustable mechanical advance without the need to pull the breaker plate out.

Been running a Street D.U.I. ( w/ vacuum advance )in my 408 for a few years along with their jacketed secondary wires. Trouble free. Clean one wire hook up ( except for tach ). Tested dead on ( no scatter ) on my distributor machine and I can run as much as .055" plug gap if I want. Only draw back could be fire wall or carb clearance if you are running multiple carbs.
