Chisholm does not make the LCAs anymore and won't, believe me, i've tried to talk them into it. search the board for "lowered or dropped" terms i nthe truck forum only. lots of stuff already discussed. I just posted and plan to add dak dropped spindles to my Chisholm two inch dropped springs. later, JP in Kansas.

The best way is to take a 2" long X 6"round piece of pipe & weld it to the spring pocket on the bottom of the lca. Take a torch or a plasma cutter & cut the pocket out from the inside. Weld 4 angle iron tabs to the bottom of the pipe & weld the piece that you cut with the torch inside the pipe. Use the pieces of angle to weld braces to.

Heres my old '73 that I sold 400-4 up front with one coil cut off the front springs, longer shackles in the rear with only 4 leafs in the springs. 15x8 Li'l red wheels with 235/75/15 rubber. I want my '88 to be that low when I'm done.

Heres my '88 as it sits. I've added a bumper up front and the bigger mirrors that were optional that year. Otherwise its the same.

Mustang II front end and an Alston 4 link rear. Not the cheapest way to lower a truck, but it works well.

Any of you guys with the 2" drop lower control arms, can you post a picture of the chisholm arm?

I just got a truck, and its reported to have the 2" drop arms on it, but they look pretty normal to me.

Are there any identifying characteristics, like the pocketed arms?

That is sweet! Reminds me of an episode of Musclecar on Spike Tv. Lou did that with a Pontiac Tempest lca. What did you use for the steel and where did you get it?

I was thinking this might work and that's about what I imagined. You do nice work, it looks neat.

My lowering method was done the hard way . Van lower control arms, 5th avenue spindles lower contol arm mounts moved in 3/4" for alignment purposes ,trick GM F-body springs, Strange adjustable B-body shocks. , Rear end flopped different spring hangers and shackles , shock brackets relocated on coilover brackets
