I'm trying to remove the instrument panel from a 71-74 Charger. I can't get the panel to pull out after removing all visible screws, stereo controls, etc.

Anyone know the trick to this?

some great suggestions! I did get the headlight switch, but it doesn't look good that I could forget the speedo cable

OUCH, I am getting old.

Remove the radio and get it out of your way. I like to drop the steering column so it's not cathing on anything.

I just did one in a '72 Satellite in the junkyard to get an a/c box. Definitely unhook the steering column, both from the support and the firewall plate. The only screws for the dash are the ones under the speaker cover and one on each side by the door hinges. Don't remove those last two, just loosen them so the dash can pivot.
