You should do like Fred said and attach the scoop to the motor and not to the hood. If you don't, I'm afraid you'll be buying another hood and scoop shortly and redoing it after your first trip to the track.
I'm not a fan of big scoops on anything less than a 7 second car, but it does look pretty good. Good luck with it, you've sure been working hard on it. CHIP

The scoop is big, but the opening isn't that huge, so there might be way less lfit than even with a stock six pack scoop. I like it, especially with the red/black combo.

I think it looks good. The roundness of the scoop will compliment the fenders I think.Show us pics of the whole car when you get it done. Good luck on the 8,s!
