For any package with a stroke of 4.25 or less, it is the best combo. Light reciprocating assembly. Shorter pushrods. More compact engine combo, fits in chassis better. Lighter overall. No spacers for B1 intakes. Shorter cylinders = more rigid cylinders, less block flex.
8..603 156 mph best, 2905 lbs 549, indy 572-13, alky

The tooling for the World block was set up to make the block as either a tall water jacket (RB) or a short water jacket (B). As of now only the tall versions are made and offered for sale, though.
The possibility does exist for it to be produced in the future, but it will not be anytime very soon.
That would be nice if they decided to produce the low deck version. I have 4 years on my current 511 CID block. My back up 511 CID has my old 471 CID block which started as a 451, so that block has about 4 years on it (but now has aluminum mains like the block in my car and a fresh hone.)
So I guess I don't need a block right now. But no parts last forever...
