I've installed 2 new Jegs 130 GPH fuel pumps(Holley black copies). They have relief springs that will let it them go to about 14 psi.I've replaced the springs with some that will produce about 20 psi. This pressure is before the regulator and checked at where the two pumps (paralleled)come together in a "Y".Will this shorten the pumps life? Thanks

I think my Mallory Comp 140 is pre-set at 14 psi.

I don't see any reason to have them any higher, especially with 2 pumps.

My old set up had about 20# of unregulated pressure,7 1/2# @ carb.According to my data logger my fuel press would drop to the mid 5# range during the run.I dont want to starve it for fuel so that is why I upped it a little.
