My hemi TTI 2 1/8 headers are so tight to the steering box shaft i cant get my 66 pot coupler to fit.I tried a later style coupler and i can get it on but it will not rotate.I will have to beat this one tube in wuite a bit.Do i have a bad set of headers or am I supposed to beat and mangle these 1K headers so i can steer my car?

That doesn't look right, and I would not beat them into submission just yet. Call TTI and tell them whats going on. They have really good cutomer support. I know they sell two 2 1/8 headers. One for low deck with raised port heads, and the other is for a RB with raised port heads (Indy -1, SR, Stage 6, B1/BS). Maybe they sent you the wrong ones?? Good luck with it

i just spoke to TTI and they suggested I try to shim the drivers side motor mount to push the engine to the pass side some.He also suggested I try and move the steering box the other way.The steering box bolts Im using have a captive washer that seats into a slight recess in the steering box housing to locate the box so I dont think there will be much play there to work with.
I better head back out to the garage and have another look !

Actually these headers fit like a glove now.I had my motor/trans/k frame assembled on the shop floor ready for install when i took the pics.I got to looking at it and I suspected the k frame wasnt sitting right on the floor as it would in the car so i went ahead and installed the motor/trans in the car and with everything bolted up tight the steering coupler fits good now ! TTI's do fit very well, thanks for the help !
