They do exist. I had one, was for 143 tooth flywheel. Traded it off and can't find the part#. It's online, just do a search.

The bell that is in my son's Dart is most certainly a passenger car part and IS a 69 and IS iron, but I don't know the casting number. It is for the 143-tooth flywheel and 18-spline trans. I couldn't tell you what came on the six pack cars, though.

The bell housing part number in my '69 383 RR is #2892626 (11" cast iron). This is a one year part number and was used for 383, 440 B body cars. Not sure if the 440/6 or hemi used a different bell housing or not.

1968 part number for the B/RB 11" cast iron BH was, #2892262.

If I remember correctly, these two bell housings are identical except for the part number.

The casting number you need is the 2892626. Part number and casting numbers are NOT the same. 68 bell casting number 2892262 only has the 4-speed pattern, 69 bell has the 3 and 4-speed pattern. You can see the difference when bolted in the car.

Good info!

I have interchanged those bell housings on '68-69 B bodies multiple times over the years and never realized the #262 missing the 3-speed bolt pattern.

Sorry about the "part" "casting" number issue. I knew those where the numbers.
