Good luck, it can be done. However I would be out having fun with my friends if I was still in hs. You can build cars your whole life, but only in hs for a few years!

I couldn't disagree more. I had a BLAST building the Duster my Jr and Sr year in high school. In fact 19 years later all my buddy's still talk about working on it all week after school and "goin to the Grove on Saturday". And my Dad loved it because he always knew where we were. If there is a kid on this board that can do this it's Steve

Take digital pictures of EVERYTHING, up, down, sideways, lots of pictures! Bag EVERYTHING!!! I DID! Put them on your computer, and I am forever greatful for doing it, otherwise it would have been hard to get it back together. I have over 600 pictures of my car in pieces. Unbelievably valuable! Get one of those metal spray machines and your in business! Good Luck, Your 17, and failure isn't even in your vocabulary yet!

I also had a partial parts car on hand for that which was very valuable too.

What a great idea. That Super bee would look killer wearing it's original white paint with a pair of steelies! Where in Staten Island did you find it? What was the sellers name?

Best of luck.

Man I am bumping this awesomeness to the top...

Any update guys?

I would kill to have more memories like this with my best high school bud. We both had our Mopars, I had my '73 Charger and he a '73 Satellite, and we messed around with them, but never had the funds to do it right. Always said that we would restore them together in the future.
Fast forward a few years, and during a surgery, my friend unfortunately passes away. We wont get to do what we always planned.
All the more reason to make the most of it and do it.

Keep going!

Well i know its been awhile since my last post but here it goes. I have been very busy with school and work but in the mean time there was a large delay to the cars progress due to lack of tools. We got our air system up and running with a hard line running through the middle of the garge with two drop downs and a real up front at the doors. It works great! We also had to wire in a 220 and build a extensior cord for our welder. Heres some pictures of that part...

We completely disassembled the dash and found that the only things we will use off of it are what picture, everything else was junked due to serious corrosion or rust

Here is the make shift sandblast both

I cleaned up the area where we will be welding in the new inner fender

Got about a 1/4 of the car taken down...

There was so much filler on this car i could not beilve, sometime measuring close to an inch
