You can make alot of useless power with a supercharger. A buddy of mine and I built a procharged mustang(I know), its a 347 with a d1sc and it made 618 HP@5800, 713TQ@3900 on pump gas. Its very entertaining to drive but in hindsight he wishes we had just built a big inch engine with a little juice. Its not a bad car but you dont just jump in and go without an eye on the gauges and lap top.

If your going for the stealth street scene with a under the hood centrifugal you should convert it o EFI and add a intercoler (BTW, you will probally need a license and a chassis certication with that package ) As already said it is not hard to make a N/A small block run in the elevens with mostly good stock parts Low elevens cost a little more on the engine, wheels, tires and the chassis

My 340 (non stroker} has gone 11.17@121 street tires,mufflers,3890 lbs. Home ported iron heads, converted 4 BRL manifold,240@.050 cam. The blower is old and worn. I run 12psi@7.9-1 compression. Have driven over250 miles at a crack. I've run this combo since 1985. Doug

Boost is a wonderfull thing!! I wish I went to boost 20 years sooner If I don't tip in the secondaries,I get almost 10mpg.Tips the scales @3850w/driver.13% under driven, goes into the 9's on pump gas and gets driven well over 3000 miles a year!
HEMI-ITIS has no cure. My condition is fully BLOWN!!

I'm running a D1-SC on a 408 low deck, cnc ported e-heads, hyd roller cam, 8.0 to 1 compression, blow-thru carb, 4-speed with a 3.73 gear dana.........all under the hood in a 67 belvedere wagon. I love the power. Docile to drive, until the 17 psi of boost comes on. Yes, I have two much boost, time to change the pulley.
